Corpus separatum

[edit]

An international city, neutral...neither belonging to Jews, Christians or Muslims but to all...I wish this had happened, nobody wins, nobody loses... I do not aim to offend the Jews by saying this but this is my opinion on it...if only.Domsta333 (talk) 01:10, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

For an explanation by Abba Eban as to why the corpus separatum provisions couldn't be implemented, see the links from the official United Nations document admitting Israel to the United Nations... AnonMoos (talk) 13:21, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Picture is too big

[edit]

I find that the picture at the top of the page in way too big. It should be fixed or improved somehow. ADM (talk) 20:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Also, this article, I think should be "Corpus separatum (Israel)" or "Corpus separatum (Palestine)", and not just simply "Corpus separatum". That name should be reserved for "Corpus separatum (history)".--RayqayzaDialgaWeird2210 will respond much more timelyIf you respond on his talkpage!    02:29, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Far less controversial than either would be "Corpus separatum (Jerusalem)"... AnonMoos (talk) 03:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Map - where is the information?

[edit]

Hi. Where is the information on the second map? What do the different colours mean? Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 16:02, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be a piece of this map, where the colors are explained. I agree that it is unsatisfactory to have a map with so little explanation. Zerotalk 01:31, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use of primary sources in this article

[edit]

This article relies much too much on primary sources. In particular, multiple official statements are cited as if they were true reflections of policy. In neither the Israeli nor the Arab case was this true. Proper analysis from historians is required. Zerotalk 03:39, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a specific edit in mind, that would replace primary sources with scholarly ones to bring more context? --Dailycare (talk) 18:45, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Look at the list of references. Out of 18 sources, there are only 2, or at most 3, which are not primary documents. Don't get me wrong, I love documents as you are surely aware! But the whole article should not be based on them. It looks too much like OR. Zerotalk 05:19, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I can see your point. The way to address it as far as I can see would be to identify a misleading use of the primary sources, and replace it with material sourced from a scholarly source. --Dailycare (talk) 17:44, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Add secondary sources, rather than replace correct primary sources.--Wickey-nl (talk) 08:57, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes of course. You won't catch me deleting primary sources. Zerotalk 12:58, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Consulates

[edit]

There is a newly added section on consulates, which is slightly confused (or perhaps I'm the confused party...) anyway, a consulate is not a diplomatic, but a consular, unit. As such, it doesn't interact with the government of the country where it resides (if it did, it would be a diplomatic unit and not a consular one). The section could probably benefit from a bit of sourcing. --Dailycare (talk) 18:39, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updating re United States

[edit]

In the light of last Monday's embassy move, this article needs updating re the Unites States's stance. 62.190.148.115 (talk) 16:59, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
